Is it legal for pest control to enter my apartment without me being there?

At my apartment complex, pest control will knock once and then enter. They have keys to come and go in any apartment of their choosing. Is this legal? What if I am in the shower and have the radio going? My door and walls are thick enough where people can’t hear me when I ask “Who is it?” when someone knocks. So say, they can’t hear the radio. He still enters my apartment. Or I am sleeping and don’t hear the knock. Basically, just want to know if it is legal.
